Hopewell Church Cemetery

Hopewell Church Cemetery photo
Location:
(The following directions are not the most direct route but, because of the often impassable nature of Cody Johnson Rd, are probably the most reliable.)
From the Hancock County Courthouse, go east on Broad Street for 0.3 mile and turn right on Hwy 15. Travel 9.5 miles to Balerma Church Rd. Turn right on Balerma Church Rd and travel 5.7 miles to Candy Man Rd. Bear right onto Candy Man Rd and travel 0.8 mile to Cody Johnson Rd. Turn left and go about 0.1 mile (if you cross the creek, you have gone too far). Walk up the bank on the right (west) side of the road. The cemetery will be 150 feet in front of you and to the right rear of the old church's foundation.

Alternately, from the intersection of Cody Johnson Rd and County Line Rd on the southern boundary of Hancock County, go north on Cody Johnson Rd for 1.1 mile. Park and go up the bank on your left (west side of the road). The cemetery will be 150 feet in front of you and to the right rear of the old church's foundation.
